Hello, I'm Bel
I'm a South Australian contemporary artist born in Clare, South Australia and grew up on a vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Much of my childhood was spent exploring the vineyards, roaming the property with our Bearded Collie, Ben, riding on tractors during harvest time and playing in the creek beds and waterways, fostering a lifelong love of the outdoors and nature.
I pursued a career in Human Resources after graduating from school, before settling down to raise a family. It was during this time I rediscovered my passion for the arts and over the past 10 years have sought informal training to further develop these skills.
Working predominantly with oil on canvas, my art is inspired by our ever-increasing busy lifestyles and the desire to slow down and take in the small moments where we find joy, happiness and a sense of calm. From magnificent sunsets and seascapes to the people we love and spend time making memories with, my pieces are designed to encourage viewers to take a moment to reflect and appreciate the subtle beauty in the world around us.
